A major step forward in social media regulation, the Center has created a new panel for the convenience of users

The central government has taken a big step to control social media.  If users have any objections or complaints about any content on platforms like Twitter, or Facebook, they can now report it directly.

  • What's the story?

The Center is set to constitute a three-member panel on Friday to hear the complaint.  It has been informed by the Ministry of Information Technology that a three-member Grievance Appeal Committee will be formed within the next three months.  Social media users can report their grievances there.  In fact, as the days go by, social media content is becoming virtually unbridled.  Many times, violence and hatred spread through him.  Crime trend is increasing.  To prevent that, the Modi government is determined to deal with the net world with a strict hand.

  • What's next?

Users can complain about any issues with this new rule?  According to the Center, users can protest against religious content that may incite violence, pornography, fake news, violation of norms, and issues against national sovereignty.  If there is any complaint in this regard it can be raised before the Grievance Committee.  Note that popular social platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Twitter have been warned several times before to prevent violence.  Many accounts have even been banned for spreading fake news.  Besides, Twitter and Facebook were informed that it is mandatory to comply with all the rules of the Center in order to do business in India.  And now a new panel is being created for the convenience of users.
