Actress Sonali, wife of Shankar Chakraborty, passed away!

 

Shankar's wife Sonali Chakraborty was admitted to the hospital after being sick for two days.  The popular small-screen actress breathed her last at 4 am on Monday.  Shankar announced the news of his wife's death on Facebook on Monday morning.  She was 59 years old at the time of her death. At present, the dead body of the actress has been brought to her residence.  According to family sources, the last rites of the actress will be done at Keoratala crematorium.

Earlier, Sonali was admitted to the hospital with liver problems.  After that he was released.  After getting discharged, she started shooting again.  But she fell ill again and had to be admitted to the hospital on Friday.  Gradually her physical condition deteriorated.

Recently, she was mainly seen on the small screen, but Sonali also worked on the big screen at one time.  After acting in several Bengali films of the nineties, Sonali was seen in several hit films like 'Har Jeet' in 2002 and 'Bandhan' in 2008.
