National award-winning director Pinaki Chowdhury passed away!

 

Sad news on the day of the festival.  National award winning director Pinaki Chaudhuri passed away.  The 82-year-old director was ill for about a month.  He was taken to the hospital.  Brought home last night.  He died there on Monday.

What's the story?

Pinaki Chowdhury's house in Lake Gardens.  The director's family member said that his physical problems started a month ago.  But then it was not so serious.  The situation worsened a couple of weeks ago.  The 82-year-old director was taken to the hospital.  After examining his health, the doctors advised him to take him home.  Acting on that advice, Pinaki was brought to Lake Gardens on Sunday night.  The director passed away at his home at fifteen minutes past three on Monday morning.

What's next?

The first National Award was won by Pinaki Chowdhury for the movie 'Sanghat' released in the nineties.  He got the second national award for the movie 'Baliganj Court' which was released in 2007.  Soumitra Chatterjee, Mamta Shankar, Mithu Chakraborty, Tanushree Shankar, Bhaswar Chatterjee played the lead roles in this film.  Bhaswar expressed grief over the death of the director.  He shared old photos and reminisced about sh
