Priyanka Chopra received the gift of next year's Diwali this year.  What is that gift?  The actress said by uploading the video on Instagram.  All schools in New York will be closed on Diwali from next year.  This was announced by the mayor there.  The 'Desi Girl' is excited about that.

• What's the story?

Priyanka spent most of her time in America since the time of 'Quantico' series.  She fell in love with American pop-star Nick Jonas while attending the Met Gala fashion show.  Since then, Bollywood's 'Desi Girl' has been making a family in America.  A few days ago, daughter Malati was born.  Besides work, Priyanka is also taking care of her.  Priyanka also spent some of her childhood in America.  The actress studied in the school there. She expressed her excitement by recalling that memory.

In a video shared on Instagram, New York Mayor Eric Adams said, “Finally our time has come.  In 2023, New York City public schools will be closed for Diwali."  Priyanka became emotional after seeing this video.  Sharing Eric's video as an Instagram story, she wrote, “Finally after all these years!  The girl inside me cried with joy.”

It is to be noted that Priyanka was subjected to a lot of sarcasm after objecting to the burning of stakes on Diwali.  But this time the actress gave good news.  Diwali has been celebrated very well in the US this year.  America's vice president Kamala Harris also participated in the festival of lights with children.
