Rishi Sunak posing with Sonam Kapoor?

 

Standing nearby are actress Sonam Kapoor and Britain's new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.  Sonam's husband Anand Ahuja is also seen in the same frame.  But he is a bit far from Sonam.  There are also talented people like Sarodia Pandit Amjad Ali Khan and his son Ayaan Ali Bangas, director Shekhar Kapur.  The photo was posted on Instagram less than 24 hours after Rishi was announced as Britain's Prime Minister.

• What's the story?

Rishi's name was announced as the first Indian-origin Prime Minister in Britain's constitution, there was a stir in India.  The social media is filled with messages of greetings to Rishi from different parts of the country.  Meanwhile, this picture has caught the eye.  Because in the photo, Rishi is seen with a bunch of Indian artists.  And the photo was posted by Amjad's son Ayan himself on his Instagram account.  Wrote, "Many wishes to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak."

• What's next?

There is no description of where and when the group photo was taken.  But it is understood that the picture is old.  Apart from Rishi, the photo also features his wife Akshta Narayan Murti, Infosys founder and Rishi's father-in-law NR Narayan Murti and mother-in-law Sudha Murti.  Rishi stands with them for a group photo with a smile.

Incidentally, Rishi took over as the Prime Minister of Britain on October 25.  He is the fifth person to be elected Prime Minister of Britain from the Conservative Party in the last six years.
